Gene Collections Retirement Notice


The NCI CBIIT website instance of Gene Collections including the Mammalian Gene Collection (MGC), Xenopus Gene Collection (XGC), and the Zebrafish Gene Collection (ZGC) no longer exists.

cDNA clones are available for purchase through the following resources:


Mammalian Gene Collection (MGC) Clones

MGC clones are available without restriction to the scientific community through the IMAGE consortium distribution network. When ordering, please have the IMAGE ID and the GenBank accession number available.

    • MGC Libraries

    A limited number of MGC libraries prepared by Clontech , Invitrogen, Inc. and Horizon Discovery can be purchased directly from these vendors.

    Zebrafish Gene Collection (ZGC) and Xenopus Gene Collection (XGC) Clones

    ZGC and XGC cDNA clones are available without restriction to the scientific community through the IMAGE consortium distribution network. Within the United States, the distributors are:
